What we store
- Your account. Sign-in is handled by Clerk. If you sign in with Google, Clerk receives your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We keep only Clerk's user id for you, plus a display name if you set one.
- Your game. The exams you study, the questions you were shown, your answers, your town and its buildings, and when you last played.
- How you found us. To learn which links bring players, your browser keeps a random id, the
?src=tag of the link you first arrived by and the website that sent you (its name only, such as reddit.com) in local storage. With it we record which pages you open, one entry per page per day, and whether you tried a question before signing up; when you sign up, that tag is saved against your account. We do not use cookies for this, and we do not record your IP address, your device or anything that identifies you before you sign up. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, none of this is stored or sent. - Your browser. Local storage also remembers small settings such as the camera angle and town theme. It stays on your device.
What is public
Towns appear on the public region maps, under your display name if you set one. Your email address and your individual answers are never shown to other players.
